Can you tell us more about your career?

I have been in Hong Kong for almost one year now. Prior to this appointment I have spent seven years in Thailand and another seven years in Tokyo, Singapore, Sri-Lanka and Malaysia.

Totally I have spent over 20 years in Asia, I have worked for city business hotels, resorts, as well as opening properties.

I did most of my career within Hilton family and I am very delighted to be in Hong Kong by now. The city is unique, extremely diversified, culturally interesting and a very dynamic at the same time.

What are your favorite places in Hong Kong?

Hong Kong offers a great balance between a dynamic city center and relaxing places in the nature.
Conrad Hong Kong is ideally located, right in the middle of the island.

From there you can explore the beauty of the island, the Harbour as well as the Peak. Within a walking distance you can access to Admiralty Shopping Mall as well as major business buildings.

I love exploring the beauty of Hong Kong, beyond shopping malls you can easily escape in the nature. Stanley is one of my favourite places. Stanley beach is very relaxing, far away from the city center hustle and bustle.

I also love hiking on dargon back trail, which is a very nice hike of three hours to access to Big Wave beach.

Can you introduce Conrad Hong Kong as a MICE destination?

Conrad Hong Kong benefits form an ideal location, right in the middle of Hong Kong Island, access is key. From the hotel you can enjoy a very unique view of Harbour and Peak at the same time.

For meeting planners, our hotel offers a unique experience based on three key factors: Service, Food and Facilities.

We have a fantastic team, our staff is very loyal, well trained and experienced. This allows us to focus on the customer experience and fulfill a ll ofour customers very specific needs.

Regarding food, Conrad Hong Kong restaurants and outlets are quite famous, such as Golden Leaf our Cantonese restaurant, as well as La Brasserie our French bistro. We offer our guests a unique cullinary journey.

On top of that we offer unique facilities for our guests. Most of meeting rooms come with natural lighting and one of a kind view. Our grand ballroom which boasts 767 sqm is one of the largest in Hong Kong. The grand staircase gives meetings and events guests a great feeling.

In the meantime we are currently running renovations of our executive lounge that will be completed by the end of August. Located on the 59th floor with breathtaking views over the harbour and the Peak, the executive lounge will have a homestyle feel with an open kitchen.

MICE Market

MICE market is very important to us and has been steadily growing over the past years.

Thanks to our ideal location and high standard product we attract meeting planners from key industries such as finance, pharmaceuticals as well as IT.

In the meantime we observe a rising trend on incentives meetings as well as Art Exhibitions.
5. Where does your passion for hospitatily comes from?

I come from the food and beverage industry, I started my career in 1985 as Chef Tournant at the Hilton Kensington, London.

I think my passion for hospitality comes from my character. I love to inspire my team to deliver experience. I am driven about quality and passionate about people and very commercialiy focused.

What is your best memory about Hong Kong?

I had the opportunity once to experience a journey in an Aqualuna boat, an old Chinese barch.
This was an overwhelming, impressive and unique way to experience the city of Hong Kong by night while enjoying a somptuous laser show.
