Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong Kangqiao celebrates 488 years of service and loyalty recently in their 3rd celebrate service week.
All the long service employees have been recognized by receiving a long service award. They were hosted for a luncheon with Paul Proctor, General Manager of the hotel complex along with the Director of human resources Ms. Gloria Xu.
Paul expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the staff members for having devoted much time and effort to the hotel in the luncheon: I was so delighted to see the service average rate is almost 2 years per person. This is a remarkable record for a hotel opened only for 3 years. This number indicates that a lot of colleagues enjoy working here and have developed a strong sense of belonging to the hotel. Thank you all for your loyalty and hard work.
Mark Zhang, the artist of the hotel said: I joined the team during the pre-opening. I feel so proud when my loyalty and dedication were recognized and awarded. In order to make sure that the team is working happily, the hotel set up a love team composed by staff from each department who organizes staff event quarterly and collecting feedbacks and suggestions from the team. “Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they do not want to” The management team believes in the saying and putting into action.
