Originally from New Zealand, Mr. Jim Burton has been working in hospitality industry for over 40 years, with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Before he joined InterContinental Wuhan, Mr. Burton was Area General Manager of Yunnan, China, overseeing the opening, rebranding and operations of seven hotels under 4 different brands. InterContinental,Indigo, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn.

Mr. Burtonhas worked in New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and many cities in China.His career in China started in 2004 andhas included postings in Guangzhou, Changsha, Shanghai, Xishuangbanna and Kunming. He has a rich experience in Opening hotels including time spent as Director of Hotel Openings for IHG based in Shanghai
